Still trying to catch my breath – fantastic novel
What can I say other than this was an amazing read. SO very hard to believe that this is Jalpa’s debut novel. The story spoke to me from the start. While Jalpa spent the better part of the novel sharing the life of her main Character Tess, she built in an amazing story as well that just weaved along with the telling of Tess growning up. I never felt like there was a back story that was missing or that something was rushed or forced. I could not put this down. I just kept reading trying to figure out just what was going on. Add to that action, friendship, love and loss and you have the recipe for a fantastic read.
This is another story where I fell in love with the lead characters almost from the start, not just Tess, but her 2 best friends who appear in the story from start to finish and of course the boy in the story. This cast of characters took this story from good to Great. Jalpa has the ability to make you feel what you read with her details and writing ability. Her characters just felt real. I can not wait to read where Tess goes from here, I hope that Jalpa is already well on her way to finishing the next novel
